A talented pensioner is inviting residents to see his strokes of genius on display this week.
Henry Latin, a 73-year-old former architect from Streatham Road, Mitcham, took up landscape painting as a hobby 40 years ago and said his pastime has envolved into a full-time passion.
Mr Latin said: “In my work it was always a battle to get my creative influence across so painting was a very useful way for me to channel that energy.
“I hope everyone who comes to see my work will be inspired in the same way to do what their heart tells them.”
Mr Latin’s paintings are on display at Gino’s Restaurant in Upper Green East, Mitcham, until Saturday, November 12 (12-2.30pm in the afternoon and 6-10-30pm in the evening).
