Speed Racer Pit Stop Tour visited 27 Tesco Extra Stores Nationwide
Leading up to the May 9, the release date of the new live action high-octane family adventure Speed Racer, the Speed Racer Pit Stop Tour sped its way to Borehamwood Tesco's Extra.
With the exciting new Fuji Helexicon track racing set, Speed Racer: The Videogame on the Nintendo Wii, exclusive Speed Racer footage and the Speed Racer Pit Stop crew, Tesco consumers were given the chance to test their speed and ability while going head to head with other "Speedy" wannabes.
No one went home empty handed as all "Speedys" that took part left with a Speed Racer challenge certificate. But if you missed your chance to enter the Speed Racer challenge it's not too late. As part of the celebration for the release of this fantastic film, Warner Bros. Pictures and Borehamwood and Elstee Times are giving one lucky reader the chance to win an exclusive Speed Racer goody bag, complete with a Speed Racer die-cast car, Wii Game, tattoos, t-shirt, and much more.
Speed Racer (Emile Hirsch) is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. His only real competition is the memory of the brother he idolized - the legendary Rex Racer, whose death in a race has left behind a legacy that Speed is driven to fulfill.
Speed is loyal to the family racing business, led by his father Pops Racer (John Goodman), the designer of Speed's thundering Mach 5. When Speed turns down a lucrative and tempting offer from Royalton Industries, he not only infuriates the company's maniacal owner (Roger Allam) but uncovers a terrible secret - some of the biggest races are being fixed to boost profits. If Speed won't drive for Royalton, Royalton will see to it that the Mach 5 never crosses another finish line.
The only way for Speed to save his family's business is to win the race that had taken his brother's life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.
For your chance to win, simply answer correctly the following question.
