Epsom pub The Vestry will be showcasing 12 different types of ale for drinkers to enjoy at its Easter Beer Festival on April 6-10.

The pub, in Church Street, is inviting drinkers in to try the beers, which will be poured straight from a beer-stilling cask to add a touch of theatre to the experience.

General Manager, Josh Massen, says: "Our Easter Beer Festival follows on from the success of our recent real ale promotions which have attracted new customers with a real passion for real ale. We’re using the festival as a bit of a test bed as we are looking to increase the number of real ales available on the bar from three to six.

"We have a real mix of beers available for the festival which range from 4-5% abv so there really is a cask ale for everyone, whether you are a first timer or a beer aficionado. We’ve tried to source local beers as well as those from further afield and we’re hoping that we can offers customers beers from Dorking Brewery and Hogs Back Brewery.

"What I have noticed is that people want something a little different from their drink choices and are really experimenting with tastes and flavours which is something that you get with real ale, what with all its complexities. Of course, I also think it helps that you can only get a glass of hand pulled real ale in a great British pub - if the beer is kept in perfect condition and served correctly, there’s nothing like it!"
