Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis all in one man at Fairfield halls
It takes a certain type of performer to play two Rock n Roll hall of famers in a single night, but Bill Geraghty is shaping up to show he is exactly the right man for the job.
Geraghty, who has transferred from West End Productions of Buddy and Great Balls of Fire. will reprise the role of the legendary Buddy Holly while also taking up the challenge of playing Jerry Lee Lewis in Buddy vs The Killer.
Hits such as Peggy Sue will come alongside Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On as the hits of two of the 50's greatest artist are belted out by Geraghty and a talented supporting cast.
Buddy Holly, ‘The first gentleman of Rock ‘n’ Roll’, and its original bad boy Jerry Lee Lewis, ‘The Killer’ were two polar opposites, yet both emerged as early pioneers of the music genre, and left an incredible legacy.
The show, which has toured across the globe, has received rave reviews from in both Asia and closer to home.
Kuala Lumpur Time Out Online described the show as "unlike anything I have ever seen, while The Sun and The Times both gave glowing descriptions of Geraghty's ability to play both roles.
Playing on Father's Day, this show, in Croydon for one night only, is the perfect family outing as Buddy vs The Killer takes you from the pair's blues and gospel roots, all the way through to their greatest hits like That’ll be the Day, Great Balls of Fire, and many, many more.
