About Our School
The site was originally a tram station in Victorian times, then a fire station, and more recently an art college. In addition to the first class sports facilities adjoining the School at the Richmond Athletic Grounds, we have use of the Richmond Baths for swimming lessons and tennis can be played locally. On the site itself there is a generous playground for the boys to let off steam between lessons and the building has state of the art provision for science, art, music, languages and IT. There is also a library, multipurpose hall and a refectory providing healthy and tasty lunches.
There is ample parking in the grounds of Richmond Athletic Club. In addition there will be a free bus service from the surrounding areas with pick up points in Hammersmith and Chiswick. As the boys get more independent and ready to travel alone on public transport, there are good local bus links, e.g. 391 bus service from Chiswick High Road to Richmond Circus, a few minutes walk from the school site; 419 bus service from Hammersmith Broadway to Richmond Circus; and the 65 bus service from Ealing Broadway to Kew Road; in addition to train and tube routes.
School opens at 8am with registration at 9am. The school day finishes at 3:30pm with prep and after school clubs continuing until 4:50pm.
A carefully balanced, tasty lunch with a vegetarian option will be prepared in the school’s kitchen and served in the refectory. Menus will change on a regular basis and the boys will be encouraged to put forward their suggestions. The cost of the lunch is included within the school fees.
