Quins secure Brown for next season

Harlequins full-back Mike Brown has confirmed he will be part of director of rugby Dean Richard's plans for next season.

The 22-year-old, out of contract in the summer, put pen to paper on a two-year deal this week keeping him at the club until June 2010.

Prop Aston Croall, hooker Tani Fuga, prop Alex Rogers and England Sevens star Charlie Amesbury have also signed new contracts.

"I am delighted that all these players have re-signed for Harlequins," said director of rugby Dean Ricahards, who agreed new terms with Ollie Kohn and Chris Robshaw in October.

"We are building a strong squad for the future and it is great to see so many home grown players coming through.

"The Quins academy is doing a tremendous job developing young players.

"With Mike Brown, Chris Robshaw, Charlie Amesbury and Alex Rogers all coming through the system, it proves that you don't always need to go out and buy in big names, when you have the young talent at home."
