Jubilee celebrations for Sutton Lodge day centre

A day centre for the elderly enjoyed a big jubilee celebration on Wednesday, June 20.

Visitors to Sutton Lodge in Brighton Road, had a mock street party in the back garden of the centre.

In the morning visitors got the opportunity to have a manicure and to take part in an exercise class.

After lunch the Rah Rah Theatre Company performed The Swinging Sixties for everyone.

Manager, Lynn Lawton, said: "We had approximately 40 members here, including some new ones who had come to look around on the day and some of our kind kitchen volunteers came in and prepared a lovely buffet for them.

"All in all it was a very successful day and everyone went home happy."
