Making a last ditch attempt to help the borough’s Britain in Bloom efforts, the Teddington Society showed off their community spirit by taking over an old brick planter and giving it a new lease of life.
Members of the society took over responsibility of the planter and have been potting everything from hibiscus plants to lavender in it to add some colour and life to the Causeway, where the planter is located.
Sheena Harold, Teddington Society’s vice-chairman, said: “We [members of the society] all have a little trowel and dug in to help. It just makes it nicer, it is something nice for people to enjoy. [The project] was just about finishing off the little corner and coming together.”
