DENIS WARD BLOODWORTH 1927 - 2016 Denis passed away on Sunday the 24th of January, 2016 at St George's Hospital Tooting. Botanist and Musician virtually all his working life was spent in the Biology Department of Tiffins School, Kingston on Thames, whilst maintaining, what many would describe as, a full time music career the other twelve hours of every day. Arranging and conducting music for school concerts and stage performances, was an every day matter for him, as was his travel abroad accompanying school parties. An accomplished Clarinet, Saxofone and Bassoon player, he was a prolific arranger of music, ('Tin Pan Alley'; 'The Roman Invasion of Ramsbottom' and many orchestral, Big Band and instrumental ensemble works). He was an accomplished orchestral conductor, holding the baton for the London Recorder Orchestra for many years. Educated at Cheltenham Grammar School and Bristol University, he was instrumental in founding CYPO, Cheltenham Young People's Orchestra, (now Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra). His Funeral will take place at Kingston Crematorium on Monday February the 15th at 1.00pm
