Richmond’s cyclists are being asked to put their views forward regarding a major new scheme to improve the borough’s facilities.
The council has proposed plans to bridge the gap between cycle routes along the Hampton Court Road, including widening the pavement around the entrance to Bushy Park on the A308’s northern side for cyclist and pedestrian use.
The council is seeking views of residents on the plans, which also include upgrading facilities along Hampton Court Green.
Councillor for highways and street scene Stephen Speak said: "It's good to see this long awaited link in the borough's cycling network coming to fruition.
"The limitations on space and the historic backdrop of Hampton Court means that we are trying to strike a balance between the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, bus passengers and road users in the area."
