Schoolchildren proved they had top tech skills when they learned how to create their own video games.
Year 6 pupils at Kew Green Preparatory School, which said it places an emphasis on ICT, learned how to make their own video games with the help of education technology specialists ComputerXplorers Middlesex.
The children used Xbox controllers to design worlds and characters, while using programming language.
From September, primary schools throughout the country will have to teach computing classes with the emphasis on how to code and programme following Education Secretary Michael Gove’s sweeping curriculum changes.
Neelam Parmar, head of ICT at the school, said: "This is such a fantastic opportunity for the children.
"With the help of ComputerXplorers we are ensuring that our pupils develop an early understanding of technology and how to use it in everyday learning."
