Three or four years ago, on holiday in Osaka, Japan, we got talking to a young local barman in a tiny real ale bar. On finding out that we were from London he immediately assumed that we were Gooners, or Arsenal fans. After denying this, conversation moved onto to where In London we lived. Mentioning that we were from Richmond lead him on to tells us that his great ambition was to work in Real Ale in East Twickenham. We exchanged email addresses and never heard from him again after that day.
